Launch of the New Electronic Toll System
The New ETS will start operating on 1 January 2027
Toll collection provided as a Comprehensive Service by SkyToll, a. s., acting as the Person Authorised by the Toll Collection Administrator – Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a. s. (hereinafter “NDS”), through the current Electronic Toll System (hereinafter the “Current ETS”) will end on 31 December 2026.
Dear Partner/Toll Payer,
on this page, we would like to inform you about the planned changes to the Electronic Toll System.
In order to make toll collection more efficient, NDS is changing the existing operating model of the Electronic Toll System.
The services of the current toll system will remain fully available until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027, toll payers will have two basic toll payment methods at their disposal:
- Apayment through EETS providers
- Bthe prepaid toll mode through CzechToll, s.r.o.
Until 31 December 2026, all current services related to toll collection and payment will be duly ensured and provided to you in full.
Toll payers who use the post-payment mode in the current toll system will be able to use one of the above options after the transition to the new toll system.What is changing

Comprehensive service by SkyToll, a. s.
Until now, the Electronic Toll System has been provided by an external provider, SkyToll, a. s., as a comprehensive service.
New ETS owned by NDS
From 2027, the new Electronic Toll System (hereinafter the “New ETS”) will be owned by NDS.
Key dates
Complete the registration steps well in advance
Registration in the EETS mode is possible immediately, while the Current ETS is in operation, and will remain valid after the launch of the New ETS.
Start of registration for the Prepaid Toll mode in the New ETS. The registration will remain valid after the launch of the New ETS.
End of toll collection through the Current ETS. By this date, the existing registration must be terminated and all liabilities settled.
Launch of the New ETS into regular operation.

Toll payment through EETS providers
Registration
Registration is possible through the customer channels of EETS providers, a list of which is available on the NDS website www.mytobezhranic.sk. The current EETS providers are:
Toll payment through EETS allows
- registration of one or more vehicles to a single toll account, without additional fees charged by the Toll Collection Administrator and in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of the EETS provider,
- delivery of on-board units to the customer,
- immediate financial settlement upon termination of services,
- the option of using a single on-board unit for several European Union countries,
- the option of concluding a single contract with an EETS provider instead of several contracts in several countries,
- toll payment in a single payment/invoice; the vehicle operator can choose an EETS provider according to their preferences, the services offered by the EETS provider, or the countries in which the EETS provider operates its on-board units.
Prepaid Toll mode through CzechToll, s.r.o.
Registration
Registration in the New ETS can be carried out through the customer channels of CzechToll, s.r.o., in particular through the secure customer self-service of the information portal, customer points located throughout the Slovak Republic, or other registration channels that will be published at www.emyto.sk.
The Prepaid Toll mode will allow
- registration of one or more vehicles to a single toll account under a single contract for the use of designated road sections,
- toll payment in accordance with the applicable rates, without additional administrative fees charged by the Toll Collection Administrator or EETS providers, both in cash and cashless using various payment instruments (bank cards, fuel cards and bank transfer),
- setting up automatic credit top-up without the need for repeated visits to customer points or logging in to the customer self-service,
- delivery of on-board units to the customer, as well as their immediate availability in a wide network of customer points,
- payment of a refundable deposit for the on-board unit, without the need to secure the toll payment obligation with a bank guarantee or a cash security deposit,
- immediate and fully automated financial settlement upon termination of services (e.g. refund of unused toll credit, refund of the on-board unit deposit, etc.),
- services provided through an extensive network of customer points, non-stop customer support (24/7) via a call centre, as well as via the customer information portal with secure access to the customer self-service.

Transition to the New ETS in three steps
Choose a toll payment mode
It is important for customers to choose one of the available toll payment modes in the New ETS – EETS or Prepaid Toll.
Register in advance
Complete the relevant registration steps well in advance of the New ETS entering operation on 1 January 2027.
Terminate your registration in the Current ETS
Terminate your existing registration, including the Contract for the Use of Designated Road Sections, and settle all mutual receivables and liabilities.
